The ICAS Sustainability Panel, supported by SSE, has launched its latest Sustainability Essay competition to generate debate about sustainability, its impact on accountants, and the contribution which the accounting profession can make to the creation of a more sustainable society. The deadline for submission of entries for the competition is 12.00 noon (GMT) on 31 January 2018.
£1,000 cash prize will be awarded to the winner of the best essay.
Entrants are requested to submit an essay that answers the following question:
How might accounting, and the role of accountants and assurance providers, evolve to contribute to the creation of a more sustainable society?
Your submission should address one or more of the following accounting disciplines:
• Corporate Finance
Submissions of a minimum of 1,000 words and a maximum of 2,000 words are requested by 12.00 noon (GMT) on 31 January 2018.
You are encouraged, as part of your submission, to include illustrations, infographics and other visual tools to supplement the written content.
Essays should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. The prize winner will be notified to the return address specified on their entry.
