The Wild Ways Well Open group is available for anyone who would like to spend some time amongst nature, with a focus on boosting mental wellbeing.

On this Saturday Session we will visit Cumbernauld Glen’s amazing bluebell displays and learn a little bit about what makes this plant so special.  We’ll also have time to relax and enjoy the natural spaces around us and maybe try our hand at a bit of natural art.

We use the internationally recognised Five Ways Well framework and combine it with fun and informative sessions in the parks and nature reserves of Cumbernauld.

On each session we will walk to a Scottish Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve and spend time exploring the woods. We’ll stop for a cup of tea made over a fire and have a chat about nature or what’s going on in our lives. And we’ll take on a nature based activity – learning about wildlife, doing some practical conservation work, making natural art, having ago at some photography, contributing to citizen science projects or trying out some forest skills. We’ll discover new things about nature and about ourselves, make new friends, and learn new skills. Along the way participants can also earn a John Muir Discover award.
