Wild Ways Well Weekends…

… Is back!!

On Saturday 22nd September we’ll meet down in Cumbernauld Glen where we’ll go for a walk around the ancient woodland, taking in the sights and chatting about the nature we see as we go.

After the walk we’ll head to a clearing where we can have a go at improving our forest skills by making a safe fire where we can boil water for tea and coffee and have a small cookout.

Once we’ve had a snack you can choose between exercising your artistic side with some environmental art activities; or expanding your mind with some nature identification and simple citizen science.

This is your chance to explore a beautiful woodland, in company with like-minded people; slow down, relax and de-stress; enjoy being amongst nature and learn a bit about the wildlife that shares our town with us.

Wild Ways Well is designed to help everyone discover the proven benefits of nature for their wellbeing.

We use the internationally recognised Five Ways Well framework for positive mental health and adapt it to a natural, outdoor environment.

We’ll be out for about 3 hours in total, all safety equipment, teas/coffee, etc. will be provided.

Please dress for the weather and wear sensible footwear that you don’t mind getting a bit dirty!

These activities are FREE but booking is essential. No experience of the outdoors/nature is necessary. Participants should be 18+ (or younger if accompanied by an adult) and have a basic level of fitness, suitable for a short walk and being on our feet for most of the session.

Please contact Paul at p.barclay@tcv.org.uk to book.
