Tea in the Dark – Evening Bat Walk
Tea in the Dark – Bat Walk
Join us for this evening stroll around Cumbernauld Community Park where we will look for bats – and any other creatures who happen to appear – after dark!
Interacting with nature is a great way to improve your health and your happiness, this will be a relaxing stroll through this beautiful woodland with a chance to see and maybe hear some of these charismatic little mammals.
We’ll have some bat detectors with us to help us listen out but we should also be able to see them flitting over the woodland clearings hunting bats and midges.
All our sessions are free of charge and run by an experienced guide. All equipment is provided and you don’t need any specialist skills or knowledge to take part – just bring yourself, a drink or any snacks you will require and dress for the Scottish weather!
The session will begin at 7.30pm and aim to finish for 9pm. Please be aware that this walk may involve some travel off path over rough ground.
Sessions MUST be booked in advance. Group numbers will be limited and social distancing measures will be adhered to throughout.
