This webinar is part of the Scottish Nature Finance Pioneers ‘International Nature Finance Exploration Zone‘ and will explore some of the key developments in Voluntary Carbon Markets (VCMs) from 2023, and a few things to look out for in 2024.
Voluntary carbon markets featured heavily in the mainstream media last year, with some questioning whether VCMs have a role to play in climate change mitigation at all. However, VCMs also featured prominently at COP28, their importance receiving endorsement from Governments and political heavyweights, such as US climate envoy John Kerry.
Additionally, several initiatives have published guidance that will have an impact on both demand and supply-side integrity.
